I recently hired Tommy to replace my old garden beds. He came up with a beautiful design for raised 12" high redwood planters with a 2x4 ledge that I can sit on, so no more kneeling! In the past I have been disappointed with craftspeople who never respond when I reach out. But Tommy called me the next day, gave me a quote and some creative ideas and was able to start work the next day. He lined the boxes with gopher wire and brought in organic soil to fill the beds. He also brought in extra gravel to clean up my stepping stones. I highly recommend Speedy Gonzales for any of your landscaping needs.

Tommy and Tobias were some of the hardest working landscapers I have encountered since I have moved to the Central Coast. With the wind in Marina sowing weed seeds everywhere, both my front and back yards became totally overgrown. They not only removed the weeds, but offered a more long-term solution by laying down weed barrier and mulch. The visual effect was stunning! I contacted Speedy Gonzalez Landscaping to provide me with an estimate to trim 3 trees and replace a 50' fence. Tommy provided me with a very fair estimate. All 3 trees were taller than my 2 story home and needed to be reduced in diameter, height, and thinned out by at least 30%. Some of the limbs had grown over my roof area which my home owners insurance co. required that I trim away from the roof otherwise they would cancel my policy. Tommy's crew did everything I asked and the trees turned out very nice.
For the side fence, I asked if they could match the style and height of my rear fence which was taller. Tommy provided me with some cost cutting suggestions and accommodated my wishes. The job also entailed dealing with existing low voltage lighting/wires and having to dig out an old vine stump and root. Tommy's crew started and finished the complete job in 3-1/4 days. I was very impressed by their work ethic and Tommy was polite, dependable, and very easy to work with. I would definitely use them again.

I highly recommend Tommy of Speedy Gonzalez for fencing and gardening projects. I admired the modern fence he completed at a neighbor's home which turned out beautifully. I contacted him to install a picket fence for our Seaside Sanctuary cottage. He promptly came to provide a formal bid that was fairly priced. He was ready to promptly start on our project in a timely manner. During the project one of his team members made a choice in the design layout that we were not in agreement with. Tommy returned to the job site and rectified the matter quickly at his expense. What I liked most about working with Tommy is that he is calm, kind, and considerate. He seems to manage his client's concerns with a desire to please and welcomes direct in person feedback. He does not minimize, gaslight, act defensively or take things personally when a situation arises. He is communicative and simply dedicated to ensuring the client is satisfied. Tommy from Speedy Gonzalez Landscapes did a 5-star job on a project to upgrade and repair our backyard irrigation system. He gave me a quick and complete quote, and once accepted, he scheduled the work for the following week. He and his helper Omar were on time, communicated well, and did an excellent job. They brought our system up to code, repaired existing lines, added lines to a new section in our yard, and installed a new controller complete with rain detection to avoid watering on wet days.
